The most important and largest mosque in Taşova's Uluköy is the Kapu Ağası Hüseyin Ağa Mosque. Also known as the Kurşunlu Mosque, this monument collapsed completely and disappeared in the 1942 earthquake. As seen in the picture, all that remains of it now are some wall ruins on either side of the courtyard section and broken columns belonging to the mosque. A piece of the minaret's base, rising about a meter above the ground, still stands. According to the accounts of the town's elderly residents, the mosque was a structure extending lengthwise, covered by six domes.
