A sign affixed to the northern end of the building's western wall bears, in the modern alphabet, the words 'Paşa Köyü Camii Şerifi, construction date 1294.' This date corresponds to AD 1877. In addition, in the endowment deed of the benefactor Ahmed Çamzâde İsmâ'îl Efendi, son of Ahmed, from the people of the Hoca İbrahim Quarter of Çankırı, dated Muharrem AH 1195 / December-January AD 1780-81, a record was found stipulating that part of the annual income be spent on the mosque that the villagers of Paşa Village had rebuilt and to which, again at their request, a minbar was added, as well as on the needs of the mosque's staff.
