Editor's Note
The oldest structure in Iskilip, the mosque was built probably in the mid-16th century by Ebussuud Efendi, one of the important figures of the Ottomans who rose to the office of seyhulislam during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent, in the name of his father, Sheikh Yavsi.
