It is part of the historic İzmit Train Station, designed by Otto Ritter. The train station designed by Otto Ritter is used as the exhibition hall of the Kocaeli Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and the Kocaeli Governorate's Fine Arts Gallery.
