Editor's Note
Located in the center of the Çerkeş district of Çankırı province, the bathhouse known as the Murad IV Double Bath stands within the old residential fabric and is a 16th-century work. The bath was built to generate income for the Muradiye Mosque, which was erected during Murad IV's Baghdad campaign. The Muradiye Mosque, repaired in the time of Abdülhamid, was demolished in 1944, and the present mosque was built on its foundations. The double bath, however, has survived to the present day.
