Editor's Note
The bath in the village of Eskiçağa in Yeniçağa district stands on sloping ground and is rectangular in plan apart from a projecting section at its western corner. The bath is accepted to have been built in the 14th century, during the reign of Yıldırım Beyazıt. The walls are reinforced with rubble stone and brick tie-courses. The main dressing-room section has collapsed; following the restoration of the building, the bath is now entered through the door of the transverse-rectangular dressing room on the south. From the door at the northern corner of the dressing room, one passes to the cool (soğukluk) section. The dome covering the cool section has triangular transitions.
