Editor's Note
It is located within the Carsi neighbourhood of the Kandira district of Kocaeli province. The bathhouse, which belonged to the Yelkencioglu family, one of Kandira's well-known families, was bought in 1966 by Mehmet Yuksel of Sivas. It is thought to have possibly been built in the 14th century. By decision no. 3048 dated 11 July 2017 of the Kocaeli Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Property, it was registered as an immovable cultural property requiring protection (group 2).
