Editor's Note
According to tradition, he is thought to have been born in the year AH 862 / AD 1484 and to have come from Khorasan. By lineage, he is said to descend from Bakir, son of the line of Zeynel Abidin, through Yahya. Coming to Anatolia, Aliyyu-l Muslahiddin studied at the Haci Bayram Lodge in Ankara and at the Fatih Complex in Istanbul, and he met and befriended Sheikh Saban-i Veli, who is buried in Kastamonu.
