The sculptor of the statue, made in 1944–45, was Rudolf Belling. Rising 1.80 m on a 1.50 m stone pedestal, the statue of İsmet İnönü depicts this important leader of the Second World War within an educational institution. Dressed in civilian clothes, İnönü stands with his left hand clenched in a fist, his right foot a step forward and his right hand resting on the pedestal, looking ahead with confidence in the future. Reliefs related to agriculture appear on the polygonal pedestal. Goethe Institut — İsmet İnönü Statue. The statue was made by Rudolf Belling in 1944–1945.
