The Construction Master School opened in the 1931-1932 academic year to train building craftsmen capable of meeting the needs of the construction field in line with the conditions of the age. Turkish and Hungarian teachers, as well as teachers from German-speaking countries, taught at the school. It had four main departments—masonry, carpentry, plastering, and stonework—along with departments for electricity, plumbing, and central heating. Because the site sloped, the courtyard rises westward in three terraces, enclosed by four blocks: single-story on the east, west, and south, and two-story on the north.
