The castle lies to the west of Çamlıca village. It was built on a sheltered, not very high hill at the foot of terrain rising above the plain. The deep ravines to the east and west of the high ground where the castle stands naturally separate it, like a defensive rampart, from the adjacent land on these two sides. It looks down from above on the plain to its north. By its natural form, the hill connects to the land to the south, now forested. The castle remains lie buried underground.
