Sultan Suyu Çeşmesi

Sultan Suyu Çeşmesi is a historic building in Orhangazi, Bursa; It was built in the name of Muzaffer Bey, the Gendarmerie Commander of the time, who played a great part in the liberation of the region following the Greek occupation experienced there between 1919 and 1922.

It was built in the name of Muzaffer Bey, the Gendarmerie Commander of the time, who played a great part in the liberation of the region following the Greek occupation experienced there between 1919 and 1922. The Ottoman-script inscriptions on the fountain's pediment state that it was built as an expression of gratitude and thanks to Muzaffer Bey. Today the fountain is known by the name "Sultan Suyu Fountain."
