Editor's Note
The Kara Mustafa Thermal Bath was built in 1490 by Kara Mustafa Pasha, grandson of Hamza Bey. It is located in the Kukurtlu neighborhood, next to the Yeni Kaplica. The building, which looks like a house, consists of two small cells attached to a rectangular-plan space serving as the cooling room, plus a hot room reached through a rectangular-plan corridor also connected to it. The hot room is roofed with a vault. The structure's single-piece marble ablution fountain and its pool are noteworthy.
