The lodge was an Eshrefi lodge and one of the few that continued the miraciye tradition. The Bursa Numaniye Lodge and its architectural features were commissioned by Hekimoglu Ali Pasha between 1689 and 1758. The Numaniye Mosque and Lodge is a large timber building. Its second floor was originally a ceremonial hall (semahane) but was converted into a mosque after a mihrab was added. Climbing the stairs to the second floor, one reaches a small landing with a few steps leading up to the women's section and doors to its west. On the frame of the entrance door, verses from the Quran are inscribed in pen-work decoration on wood. (Selim III)
