Editor's Note

It was founded in 1852 as a product of the country's efforts at state-led industrialization that began in the mid-19th century. It stands beside the Cilimboz Stream in Muradiye. It was established by the state to produce yarn for the silk carpets and fabrics to be used at the palace. It clothed the leading statesmen of the era, including those of the European courts.
