Editor's Note
It is a weaving factory built in the 19th century. Initially purchased by Madame Brotte, the building later passed into the ownership of Monsieur Romangal, a Frenchman of Jewish descent. The Romangal family lived until 1938 in the residence facing Kaplıca Avenue within the factory grounds. The building was also used for a time as the French Consulate. In 1938 Monsieur Romangal sold it to Faik Yılmazipek, father of Turgut Yılmazipek, and silk production continued.
