However, based on registry records dated 1484, it can be accepted that Şeker Hoca lived during the reign of Mehmed I (Çelebi Mehmet) or Murad II and had the mosque built in that period. The mosque, with masonry combining cut stone and brick, has a square plan and is covered by a drumless dome clad in lead.
