Editor's Note
Although it is called the French cemetery, of the 32 graves here, four hold Italians, two hold Germans, and one each holds an Englishman, an Armenian, and a Swiss individual. The oldest of these dates from 1831 and the most recent from 1927. In use until the 1940s, the cemetery is today completely surrounded by houses.
