Located at the Ani ruins beside the Arpaçay, between the Ani Bridge and the Ani Cathedral, just below the Menüçehr Bath, this cave was first used as a chapel and was then converted into a masjid when the city was conquered by Muslims. The masjid is thought to be the first rock-cut masjid built by Turks in Anatolia.
