It is located within the boundaries of the İstasyon neighborhood in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. It is thought to have been built during the construction work carried out between 1910 and 1913 on the Kars–Sarıkamış section of the Transcaucasian Railway, while Kars was under Russian occupation. The lodging building is single-storey, rectangular in plan, and made of cut stone.
