Story
Yörük Ali Efe Evi Müzesi stands in Aydın's Yenipazar district, where the hero of the Turkish War of Independence lived from his return from İzmir until his death. The building burned down completely in the 1980s. His heirs donated it to the Ministry of Culture on the condition that it become a museum, and the house opened in 2001 after restoration to its original form and landscaping of the garden. The display includes personal belongings donated by the family and ethnographic artifacts from the Aydın Archaeology Museum collection, purchases, and citizen donations. His grave, moved from Yenipazar City Cemetery by a Council of Ministers decision, is also in the museum garden.
