It stands within the bounds of Karaurgan village in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. It is known to have been built in 1916 on the Kars–Sarıkamış section of the Transcaucasian Railway, during the period when Kars was under Russian occupation. The rectangular building, of reddish rusticated stone, has a hipped roof, which today has collapsed.
