Editor's Note
The structure stands in the central settlement of Gümüşhane, over the Harşit River, oriented north to south. It has two arches. Its lateral piers are enclosed between retaining walls. The smaller of the two arches is pointed, and part of its spandrel walls are built in alternating courses of stone and brick; it appears to serve as a relief opening. On the larger, round-arched span the arch itself is of dressed stone, while the spandrel walls are of rubble stone. The bridge deck has been widened on both sides in reinforced concrete, and concrete railings have been added.
