Editor's Note
Regarding the kümbet (tomb-tower) in Niksar's Kırkkızlar neighborhood, on Albayrak Street, which stands on sloping ground today wedged among houses, İsmail Hakkı Uzunçarşılı recorded the building's name as Kırgızlar and reported that it stood in the middle of a cemetery area. As it bears no construction inscription, it is not known by whom or when it was built. The kümbet is covered by a dome internally and a pyramidal cap externally. Regular cut stone was used as building material on the lower level, and brick on the upper level and in the roofing system. The decoration appears on the building's exterior.
