The Gümenek Bridge is a historic bridge built over the Yeşilırmak on the Tokat-Niksar caravan route, to the west of Comana Pontica, one of the important settlement centers of the Roman period. Of this structure, which provided Comana Pontica's northern and western connections in Roman times, only the piers survive today, and even these lie beneath the State Hydraulic Works regulator and cannot be observed above the water surface. Under the current conditions, no assessment of the bridge's architectural features can be made.
