The Osman Paşa Mansion, located on Tokat's historic Bey Street, is an important example of civil architecture whose exact construction date and patron cannot be firmly established because it has no inscription, but which is dated to the late 19th or early 20th century. According to oral sources, it was built as a family residence in the 1850s by Alaybeyoğlu Osman Paşa, a man said to have been from Yozgat who served in Tokat in the late Ottoman period.
