The mosque has three inscriptions. The one above the entrance door is the construction inscription, stating that it was built in AH 942 (1535-36 CE) by Hoca Behzad, son of Fakih. The other two inscriptions, placed on the door jamb and on the lintel of a window on the west facade, are repair inscriptions, recording the dates AH 1309 (1891-92 CE) and AH 1324 (1908 CE). The portico (last-congregation space) seen today was added in 1956. The square-plan prayer hall has a layout that was extended northward by an added section. The square space in front of the mihrab is covered by a large dome with squinch transitions.
