The structure bears no inscription; some scholars date it to the 13th century based on its architectural and decorative features, while others date it to the 14th century based on its alternating stone-and-brick construction technique. Since the tomb has no inscription, it is not known for certain who commissioned it or to whom it belongs. It is referred to by various names such as Burgaç Hatun, Bibi Hatun and Dudu Hatun. The hexagonal-bodied tomb is covered by a dome with pendentive transitions. There is a doorway on the north side, but as the building now lies below ground level, it is entered through the window on the north facade.
