Editor's Note
It was commissioned by Ebü'l-Kâsım al-Tûsî in 631 AH (1234 CE), while he was still alive. It is popularly known as the Ali Tûsî Tomb. The inscription makes clear that this name belongs to the father of the man buried here. The Tomb of Ebü'l-Kâsım al-Tûsî was built in 1234 by the Seljuk vizier Ebü'l-Kâsım b. Ali al-Tûsî in Tokat, in the upper part of Sulusokak. The square-plan structure is covered by a dome on an octagonal drum; its original conical cap has been lost and replaced by a tiled roof.
