Erenler Sultan Türbesi

Editor's Note

The tomb, which stands opposite the entrance to Erenler Cemetery, has no inscription. Dated by its plan and architectural features to the early 14th century, it is surrounded by numerous gravestones from the same period. The square-plan tomb has arched openings on each of its four facades and is covered by a dome. During its restoration by the General Directorate of Foundations in 2009, the dome was given an external conical cap. The structure has a two-tiered facade, with arched openings forming the lower level and the dome the upper level.
