Editor's Note
The exact construction date of the Tatar Hacı Mosque in central Tokat is unknown, as it has no inscription, but its architectural features date it to the 17th century. Although some sources record it as a mosque, another states that its original purpose was a sıbyan mektebi (primary school). A waqf document dated AH 810 (1407 CE) is also mentioned for the building, but this conflicts with its architectural dating. It was registered as a cultural property on 14 September 1984.
