It is located north of Gökçekent village, in a rocky area known as the Kale (Castle) locality. No written information has been found that would establish the date of the settlement. Unlike the other castle settlements in the region, the water well here was made not only by carving the rock but also partly by masonry. The construction technique of the water well and the ceramic fragments seen on the surface indicate that this was a medieval settlement used in the Byzantine and later periods. The rocky area where the settlement lies is close to the village, commands its surroundings, and is suitable for surveillance and well protected.
