It is built of dressed and cut stone. It is 7 metres wide and 151 metres long, set on five arched spans. Its inscription is on the middle of the bridge, facing west. It is worked on marble in interlocking sülüs script. It is thought to have been built in the same period as the caravanserai commissioned in 1238 by Mahperi Hatun, the first wife of Alaeddin Keykubad I.
