Otuken and his team, who examined the building in 1983 (1986, 380), mention an inscription dated 1837 on the eastern corner of the south facade, and therefore note that its identification with the 1855 Church of Agios Georgios, recorded by Mordtmann during his visits to the area between 1850 and 1859, is problematic. However, neither Yildiz, who examined the building in 2012-13 (2014, 26), nor the project team that visited it in 2016 was able to locate the inscription dated 1837.
