At the foot of the mountain known in antiquity as Mount Didymus stands a complex made up of a monastery, a church, and groups of buildings. Its masonry technique indicates that it was a religious monument used by the Greeks in the 19th century. The surviving foundations and wall remains show that it had two stories above a basement.
