Its inscription has been translated as follows: "The Dormition of the Virgin Mary, 1895. This church was built as a gift to Almighty God through the contributions of all the people of Langado (Ballipinar), both men and women." See Ozlem Koprulu Bagbanci, Bilal Bagbanci, Feyza Aksoy - The Conservation and Reuse of the Ballipinar (Virgin Mary) Church in Ballipinar Village, Erdek.
