Editor's Note

It lies within the village of Karaomerler in the Lapseki district of Canakkale province. Wall remains built against the bedrock have been identified on the bank of the Umurbey Stream. The walls of the structure, which is partly underwater, were built using horasan (lime-and-brick) mortar. There are areas around the site where water pipes once ran. The fact that the region's hot springs are still in use today suggests that the structure may be a Roman-period water building or bath.
