This site lies within the boundaries of the Yazıcızade neighbourhood, in the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale province. After the original prayer hall (mescit), built of mudbrick, collapsed over time, a new mosque was built in its place by the Mosque Preservation Society in 1969.
