Editor's Note
It was commissioned in 1298 by Emir Çoban Noyan of Saldur, the vizier of the Ilkhanid ruler Ghazan Khan (1295–1304). The bridge's structural form and the decorations on its head reflect the Seljuk and Ilkhanid architectural styles.
