Günyamaç Village Church is located in the settlement of Günyamaç (Pirepürt) village, 43 km from the center of Sivas province and 7 km from the Hafik district. The church, nearly square in plan and with three naves, is built of salt rock (gypsum). The interior is roofed with timber beams supported by eight wooden posts set on stone bases, and the roof, resting on rafters attached to the side body walls, is covered with earth. On either side of the semicircular apse are two narthexes.
