Editor's Note
The exact date of the tomb's construction is unknown. In 1972, when it stood in the form of a small old neighborhood masjid, it was demolished by the Regional Directorate of Foundations and replaced with the present two-story masonry mosque. The mosque was built in later periods than the tomb, and the four-line construction inscription above its door reads: "This blessed masjid was built in 901 (1495) by order of Ahmet Paşa during the reign of Sultan Beyazıt."
