Editor's Note
Built in 1932, the building stood across from the Tekel (State Monopoly) Building. Designed as housing for the supervising engineer during the construction of the State Railways complex in Sivas, it was converted into the Governor's Residence once work on the complex was complete. The Governor's Residence reflected the characteristic features of the First National Architecture period. It served as the Governor's Residence until it was demolished in 1986.
