Editor's Note
The site is known as the burial place of Kadı Burhaneddin, the 14th-century statesman and poet. Historical evidence suggests that only a gravestone stood here, with no monumental tomb structure ever present. The structure seen today was built in 1965 as part of restoration and reconstruction work carried out by the Sivas Governorship, in order to mark and protect the grave site.
