Editor's Note
In the rocky area west of the village, at the foot of a hill roughly 977 m in elevation, there is a church created by carving into the rock. In this rectangular structure, in a hard-to-reach location, there is a cell measuring about 178 x 165 cm to the northeast and another measuring 170 x 126 cm to the northwest. One Maltese cross and two forked crosses were carved into the rock inside the cells. There is no firm information about the structure's date of construction. However, based on the cross motifs, and taking the region's history into account, it is possible to date the building to the Middle Byzantine period, the 8th to 11th centuries.
