The mosque has no foundation inscription. Based on archival records, its plan, and its architectural features, the building is dated to the late 17th or early 18th century. Recorded in the hurufat registers as the "Seyyid Abdullah Mosque of Marik village," the structure is understood to have been built by a man named Seyyid Abdullah. The mosque is rectangular in plan, with a flat wooden ceiling inside and a hipped roof outside. It has a plan type formed of three aisles running perpendicular to the mihrab.
