Editor's Note
Çit Han stood on the busy Seljuk caravan routes linking eastern Sivas to the interior of Anatolia. In 1907, the researcher H. Grégoire, travelling through the region, identified the ruins of this completely collapsed Seljuk caravanserai and noted that the place name derived from it. This also brought to light clues about the "Isfahani Caravanserai" mentioned by İbn Bibi in the 13th century, whose location was unknown. Today, however, no trace of the inn can be found, and it is thought that the historical monuments in the area may have been deliberately destroyed.
