The bridge over the Kızılırmak on the old Sivas-Kayseri road is made up of two sections; the first bridge consists of 17 spans with round and pointed arches. The second section consists of two spans with round arches. Although no water flows beneath it, the second section is in use because it is a continuation of the first bridge. It has no construction inscription; however, written sources state that it belongs to the Seljuk period. As understood from its repair inscription, the bridge was repaired during the reign of Sultan Abdülaziz in AH 1292 (AD ...).
