The Çamlıbel Caravanserai, also known as the Çiftlik Han, was built on the Sivas-Tokat caravan road in the township of Çamlıbel, an important centre on the Sivas-Tokat-Amasya-Sinop-Samsun road connecting Sivas to Sinop and Samsun. [1] Although the structure has no inscription giving its construction date, it is dated to the 13th century because of its plan's similarity to the enclosed inns of the Anatolian Seljuks of that era. Today the building is in a very ruined state, with most of it buried underground. As can be understood from the surviving parts, it is a rectangular-plan inn consisting only of an enclosed section.
