Editor's Note

Source: Kültür Envanteri This information is compiled from the sources shown.

The tomb in the village of Şeyhhalil in the Yıldızeli district is a square-plan structure covered with a hipped roof, in which stonework is to the fore. Although there is no foundation inscription on the structure, the materials used and the features of its architectural form indicate that the tomb was built in the 13th-century Anatolian Seljuk period. The hand-painted decorations with landscape depictions dated to the 19th century (1858) seen in the interior are evidence of the thorough restoration and aesthetic transformation the building underwent in a later period.
