Editor's Note
Hacituğrul Baba was a Turkmen dervish leader. As written on its inscription, the tomb was built in October 1391 by his descendant Seyh Pasha. Seyh Pasha's name was Ahmed Pasha, and he was a vizier of Orhan Gazi. Fatima Baci, whose tomb stands in Sincan, was also a descendant of Hacituğrul Baba. The tomb takes the form of a Seljuk-style domed mausoleum. Its inscription bears the following Arabic text: "The construction of this tomb was undertaken by the offshoot of the poor man's tree, Seyh Pasha son of Ahmed Pasha son of Mahmud Seydi son of Haci Tuğrul Baba, may God illuminate his grave."
